Ok..So I want to know for the SuperCard SD Mini(soon to be bought)

Do I need a SuperPass(or something like it) to flash it?  Because on the site, it said I can use flashme if I don't have one..But I don't know how..Is there any tutorials on how to flash it withOUT SuperPass for the SuperCard SD?(if it's possible)

If there is any other info I should know about flashing for the DS original, Please tell me

Mr. Waffles, Welcome to scdev!

you need a superkey (recommended) or superpass 2 or passkey2 to flash the ds phat. flashme is what you put on the ds. flashme v7 is a hacked version of original firmware.

if you want to flash without a superkey, etc.. you will need to do, i think it is called wifime, but not sure.
I will tell you this it is easier to spend the 20 or so dollars than wifime, as with the superkey, it is a walk in the park!
that is my opinion only. easy is better for this I feel as you are new to flashing.

Ya, I'm new to flashing, But I do things like this all the time with modding and stuff..so when I buy my supercard SD, I'll get the superkey ^^

it truly is the easiest. In fact with the superkey you do not have to flash. That is what I am doing with my DSlite to make sure it does not have any of the usual problems, but those do not apply to the ds phat.

Flashing the ds phat is simple, (when I first did it i was crapping pants. Though when finished after all of 30 or so seconds, i said to myself, that was it, piece of cake!) the site with the video and pics is a good one to watch.

Please let us know how it goes when after you are finished. Good luck! In the meantime read through some of the tutorials, especially the one on moonshell (video player for the ds).

I would also recommend a sandisk ultra II SD mini at the least a 1gig (2gigs even better, i have only 1 gig), though not necessary but you will be happy with with the ultra II.

to your question, with the superkey you do not need to. when installed it has makes the ds look to the gba slot where you will have your supercard. That was needed for the old passme's. the superkey is if i am not mistaken a generation 3 passme. Doesn't matter, it works. and will work for you, just like has for many a persons! myself included.

Wait..So if I buy the superkey, All I have to do is take the mini SD card with the games installed onto it, put it into the brand new SuperCard SD Mini, and pop both the SCm and the SuperKey in, and it will auto load the SCm on startup and I can play it like that?

Yes, that is exactly what i am doing with my DSlite until my warrenty or 90 days runs out to return it if there are issues (had to do so already with a right trigger sticking). And if you want to play a ds cartridge, pop out the superkey and in goes the purchased game or whatever.

It is very nice.

I like the superkey/supercard price but newegg has much cheaper mini sd's.  Of course the one on RHS is sandisk so it is real nice quality.  Anyways I was very glad to be helped when I was new so Ill post what I did-
a nice 1GB 150x Ritek Ridata card from Newegg that works great in SC

I bought my SC mini here at this forum(bought from RHS at first) and it arrived great, the dude also included a MiniSD reader for only 5 bucks more!

Finally, I bought my heavenly Superkey from RHS, and at first I was a bit mad cus they didnt process my order in the first place but when the superkey got here after the second process It was great.  I already had about 15 games on my MINISD so when it came I started up MKDS TTs as fast as I could lol.
