i tried it on about 8 images from an online toon... worked fine

what i really want is to read manga on the ds.. i tried death note volume 1, but it froze after creating thumbnails. i thought it was 32 megabytes... and then i thouhgt it was perhaps 32 megabits (4 megabytes)

so i tried it on a 2.5 megabyte death note chapter 4 - to test it, and well.. it still froze halfway through... arg!

I tried an Initial D Manga Ch266 and the same thing happened it froze on the thumbnails at the cover.jpg which did not have a page number, so I deleted it from the zip and ran it again.

This time it did not freeze, but when I loaded it on the emu and my supercard cf it had 2 black screens.

I guess it has problems with large files, because I tried a small Star Wars Comic somebody posted on here awhile back and it worked fine.

PharaohsVizier

Well, it is working fine for me, I have tried all kinds of files, .png, .jpeg so on.

SmashAdams

I got it working with a few files now, but does the zoomed image mess up for anyone else? Is there anyway to fix that?

onekelly

Seems to be working good for me, nice job!

Quote from Gnese website, updated sometime last night Aussie time....

The V1.0 has a bug if your installation directory contains spaces (ie your windows desktop).
Converting .cbr and .rar files might then create some incorrect 448 ko files.
Workaroud : move your ComicBookDS folder (might be x:\. ..\ComicBookDS_V1.0) in a directory without spaces (ie c:\ComicBookDS_V1.0\).
If there is one, remove the default.pds file (ie c:\ComicBookDS_V1.0\default.pds) in which the old directory was saved.

I must be really stupid....i fiddled around BIGTIME yesterday to no avail....

in theory it seems to be running fine....yet i dont have anything in the NDS folder when finished....ggggrrr!!
Please...where am i going wrong...??
I am using jpegs(actually .pdf's converted to jpeg)...following all advice....it feels like i have less hair on one side of my head....from pulling!!

SmashAdams

I had mine in Program Files. I'll try this out now.

Edit: Seems to work flawlessly now. Thanks.

Did you change the directory you're outputting to? I wasn't getting output files, then I realized the program still pointed to where the files went originally.

Edit2: Zoomed images still seem not to work

liquidnitrogen

... i dont know what i'm doing wrong...
it still doesnt work for me. i use directories with NO spaces and yet it still freezes halfway while creating thumbnails

Source files are probably too big or you just need to wait a bit for it to process

liquidnitrogen

if in 5 minutes it doesnt move... i assume it freezes...

and i still dont know why its not working for me...

why couldnt the program support extracted jpgs and pngs?

ah well. hopefully it'll be fixed because the image viewer is awesome (with the sample provided on the site...)

by source too large, what is the max it can feed at one time?
------
OK! i'm thinking it only takes jpg? because i tried it only with jpg (about 6 pictures) and it seems to work ok... i'll test with pngs tomorrow.

hypocrite

the programm supports extracted Jpegs
extract the files to a folder and in the Converter you must click on Add Folder thats the only way  which works for me

JEenerio

Used MQ (Middle Quality) Scans and its working great! can wait to convert some more 8)

biebboek

its a nice program but there are some little things to be fixed, then this is the best homebrew for the DS.

- 1,10,11,12,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 is not an very nice counting system
-you can automaticly go to the next image.
-an better control system
orry for my bad English.

Anyone else getting black DS screens?  Most of my converted .nds files run fine but a few just give me black screens.  The files are under 32mb.  I'm I missing something here?
