Saw it posted in dev-scene. wonder why it hasn't been posted here...

Heres my description and steps on how to use it.

Translator DS

A good translation program for DS created using PALib by the PALib's main man - Mollusk! :)

to use you need to install the following:

1. Freelang Program to add and remove words from the dictionary
  get at http://www.freelang.net

2. The dictionary themselves. choose from a variety of Languages
  http://www.freelang.net/dictionary/index.html#list_alpha

3. The Translator DS Program of Course! download the naked version from there
   ttp://www.palib.info/wiki/doku.php?id=translatords

4. .Net 2.0 Framework - get it from microsoft site

Steps:

1. Install .Net Framework
2. Install/extract the selected dictionary and program in a single folder.
3. Get the .wb files from the language folder of the installed library
4. Extract downloaded Naked version of translator
5. Create folder named Files within the extracted naked version folder
6. Copy the .wb files to the Files Folder
7. Edit PAFS.bat so that it will have the following text:
  PAFS Translator.nds Files
  PAFS Translator.ds.gba Files
  PAFS Translator.sc.nds Files
8.Run PAFS.bat
9. Copy the generated NewTranslator.sc.nds to Cart. Other Generated files have .gba.nds and .nds as extensions
10.Run and Enjoy!

Though a small problem is that you have to wait for a while to load since the filesize of ROM depends on the main file + dictionaries and skins included in the Files Folder. Supercard will show a progress status while loading anyway. right? :P

Run the dictionary program on your computer when you want to add or remove words in the dictionary. after saving copy .wb file to Files folder then run PAFS.bat again before copying to cart.

Hope it helps :)

translator ds works only like a dictonary, and this version don't support kanji, hiragana or katagana. You can use it for quick references. I use the portuguese-english/english-portuguese and english-german/german-english (the lenguages spoken in my job)

I don't suppose we could get Japanese to English?

JEenerio

Here!

But the thing is, if you have other words to update to the dictionary you have to do it using the program in freelang.net the update the NDS with it. but i guess its ok.

The japanese in the dictionary is in the form of romaji only :)
