ive noticed that Max Media Player has its own built in player and plays .d3v video files...so can someone tell me what the quality is like?

...and weither it is better than the Moonshells .dpg??

Well, from what I've seen the Max Meida Videos kick the crap out of the moonshells playback.

In moonshell the video is blocky and sometime just freezes. With the Max Media Player it just lags a bit during high movement.

Though the Max Media Dock can only pause and stop, while moonshell can jump ahead, but then the video freezes for a good bit of time so... (how an I suppose to read subs when the videostream freezes. :shock: )

I've tried BatchDPG and the DPG convert with moonshell both got the same deal for the most part.

I've got my Moonshell on a SC-Lite with a 1GB Ultra II
I've got my Max Media Player pair with a dock and a 2GB 100x pqi CF

for moonshell, i used to hate the video playback...

but now after changing some settings, it plays GREAT! (using SCL + 512 Kingston)

no breaks at all

use these settings by opening your global.ini

Dithering=0
GOPSkip=0
AdaptiveDelayControl=0

should run perfectly

judging from the reports, cards like supercard lite is much better than max media player.... .... yeah... (although one can be found at a retail store)

What program do you use to change the files to .dpg? also where is "global.ini"?

I would love to not need my Max Media Player.  :lol:

you use BatchDPG

and you can find that in the shell folder you get when you extract the moonshell stuff

my Xvid files look kinda bad but everthing else looks great

the setting work great thanks to yee for the idea of it. Never had a problem with moonshell since I followed em.

Moonshell works like a charm now. Didn't even notice lag in high-movement.

I can final get rid of my Max Media Player/Dock.
