Have you skinned your supercard menu?

This is a spinoff topic from my guide I wrote up on how to skin your supercard. I was just curious as to how many people have done it so far and if not, why.  :)

Maybe if enough people have tried it, it will ease the fears of others who want to give it a shot.

question, why won't this method work with SC Lite?

From what I know, it's because noone has been able to dump the firmware from SCL yet. If someone can do that, then Mc.Nasty can do the rest.

i have scl... cant flash.. haha (i would MAYBE try if deemed safe enough)

yes, really a good guide, thanks !

Now that the source is out would there be a way to make the skins available for the SuperCard Lite. I, and many others, would love to use this but most of us have the Lite model SuperCard. I would love to add a link to your guide in my SuperCard Guide but I am unable to do so until it works on all versions.

Thanks,

Well, the source that was released was not the actualy source code of the Supercard, it was just the source for the i/o file system I think. Had the actual, true source code been released (and we can only hope it will be someday) someone could build a whole new GUI.

Really Romman could build a new GUI if he wanted to, but it would mean removing the built in (and generally outdated) emulators to have the space. But he has pretty much refused to do that.

Mc.Nasty could probably get this working for the SCL, if only someone could successfully dump their firmware and send it to him.

A MUST SEE!!!!!

Yes, it works very well.
I just flashed twice my SC with Edge808 red and blue skins, but the blue one leaves a distracting white background while the red one leaves a dark gray background, that apparently I cannot modify with MSPaint.
But everything looks good !
Cheers

I don't understand why skins aren't supported - I mean come on, who actually uses the built in emulators?  They're crap!
Surely it wouldn't be difficult to make it an optional feature - you either choose skinning support with no emulators, or emulators with no skinning support.

I can't skin mine as I'm a SCLite owner (and always use the most up-to-date firmware, which you can't skin yet).

Maybe we need to get a list of signature/comments to send to Romman.  I would love to see skinning officially supported, and have the option of deleting those crappy emulators.
