for m3 mini owners (also SD?)? question

hey, my friend recently got an M3 to play with

he uses it in the gameboy advance and tried to use the linking function in the game "Megaman exe 6" with another "Megaman exe 6"

the game recognizes it but doesnt battle...

it says "hold on your friend isn't ready."

any tips/helps/methods of resolving this problem?
