woot does that happen ONLY when you put it into the supercard??? hten happen in windows afterwards :!:

can u pust the micro-sd further in, or add a tiny bit of paper or something

bert

when i put it in the supercard and turn my ds on i get these weird symbols from the first screenshot (in the supercard menu). and then when i put it back into my cardreader in my pc i get the stuff from the 2nd screenshot (not always but sometimes).

if i put data on the card and then take it out of the pc card reader and put it back in the pc card reader again, w/o using the supercard, then nothing happens, all data's still there, no damage.

so my guess is that somehow the slot in the supercard does some kind of damage to the card itself and makes it unreadable but only if there's a certain amount of data on it.

thats what i got out of everything that happened to me so far. i've never seen anything like this before... lol

i tried to put the card further into the slot but it already seems to stick pretty tight in there and it doesnt fall out or anything.

sigh :?

Devil_Spawn

yeah thats really wierd i guess there could just be a problem with the supercard, for the sake of it, try downgrading to like 1.5 firmware, then see if it still corrtupts, but it sounds like a hardware fault to me,

The already mentioned long filename/wrong characters problem sounds very reasonable to me. Why not post the content of your Micro SD card here, so we can eliminate this problem? Go to a DOS prompt (e.g. by "Start" -> "Run..." and type "cmd" there), open your Micro SD card (most likely E: or F: ) and type "dir /s >dir.txt" there. This will generate a Text file called "dir.txt" on you MicroSD card, which you can open with any text-editor afterwards and copy & paste the contents between the code tag here.

oh man. i just (FINALLY!) figured out what the whole problem was.

it was my cardreader! stupid old thing isn't compatible with micro sd cards. and i really was about to send my supercard in.

i'm sorry for the trouble you went through for trying to help me, but i really appreciate it. thank you, and i'm happy now :D

Devil_Spawn

awesome, now we know what the problem is if somebody else has the same problem

safe

damn, i didn't saw your posting till now.
I had the same problem with my cardreader(http://scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5792&highlight=).
The original poster had the problem with his minisd, so it seems its not only accuring with microsd.....

A new cardreader solved it for me too.....
