How do you rip the .rom file off a DS cart??

im not into piracy, i just want to rip my own games to add to my supercard.

Please help!!

no, i am saying when i get my Supercard i want to be able to play my own games and my own save games. if i need any special hardware..............i dont know.

Welcome to scdev! If I am reading your post correctly

When you get your supercard, you can play your old games like you always have. If you are flashing your ds, you just need to hold the L+R+Select when powering up and it will direct you to the standard ds screens.

If you want to pull the save off of it and play it with a rom of the same name (that your got from somewhere, probably the easiest solution), you can do that as well. I do not know how to pull the game off though.

I think you need to run this thru dslazy

It includes ndsloader patching so all you do is select the file and it patches it for you

Don't ask for roms on this forum. At minimum your thread will get locked and maximum, they play a little monopoly with you and you get the boot.

Kudaku, I was talking about rom dl'ing sites only. Ripping your own roms is perfectly fine to talk about. Definately a communication error. :oops:

I told him already that I did not know how to pull the rom off only how to pull the save file off the original cart. Though I may be wrong but I do not think you can do it with a SC SD(all versions) format.

Here is what I know ...

In the old days, you used to be able to rip ROM images with a GBAMP card and a couple of little programs (one for the DS, one for the PC).

However, nowadays, I understand you need SPECIAL hardware - a homebuilt thing that allows you to vary the speed of transfer and do some other special stuff.

Basically, the answer is: no you cannot rip your own rom images.
