So I've used the rom trimming function of GBATA on my NDS ...erm...backups successfully, but the Supercard software i use to dump the stuff onto the card also has "Enable Compress", however the option is grayed out :?:

when i was getting my SC CF, I got it at:
http://www.realhotstuff.com/supercard-cf-p-28.html

"6. Supports compression."

so if the SC supposedly supports it, why does the software have it disabled? is there another way to compress roms?
lastly, how does the SC's compression work, ZIP type or rom trimming type?

thanks.

Compression is for GBA games only. It compress the rom to a smaller sizer. Makes the load time a little longer but saves space. In recent patching software updates, the compression feature hasn't been working properly causing some games to not work at all. So, until they get everything sorted out, they disabled it altogether. That's why it is greyed out.

thanks for the answer. so is there any working way to compress NDS roms? i'm sure the answer is no since everyone would be using it and there would be 5 How-To FAQs on it, but i figued i'd ask.
