Well I do not know but I opted for FRI 23. They have time until the end of this month to have everything settled because the M3 will surely be settled until that time.

BTW I wanted to ask about the Crystal Engine feature does it come from the Software side or from Hardware side??

decode is software, although there is likely some hardware specific code in there somewhere, it is still software for the hardware...

He is a *********, and there is no 2 softwares. There is only 1 software with 2 firmwares. And that means that the CF and SD software are combined in one, because why is this late release when the M3 already released its software. I am not with M3 as I own a Supercard only, but I have a CF and have been 2 weeks since Romman said that the Cf firmware and Software were finished but never released since now. This is a F***k Up man.

I think Romman makes his announcements a bit prematurely.  If you look at the Supercard news page you'll see:

Update(2005.06.09):SuperPass Key, Make you play NDS games
Where Romman says that the Supercard can now play DS games.

Then a month later:

Update(2005.07.07):NDS firmware 1.50 and SC software 2.40 released
It was actually released.

Note that the last annoucement was made very close to the M3s launch..  Maybe the update is finished (for CF) as he said, or maybe it was an attempt to distract people from the M3 launch.  Why get an M3 if the Supercard will be able to play all NDS games with saving for cheaper?

Assuming that Romman was being honest and the CF firmware is finished he still has to do the SD update (he doesn't want to release one without the other apparently).  Compact Flash is pretty easy to code for, plus Rommans team have been doing it for awhile now so it was probably pretty straight forward.  SD is a bitch compared to CF and the Supercard team are quite new to it.

I really don't know what progress they have made, how good his coders are, etc but from the information available I'd guess that it'll be out in 2 to 4 weeks from now.

i can't believe we are so impatient. it was only 3 weeks ago that we got a universal DS rom patching utility.  that is so cool, and we are already getting upset that a new firmware for saving, and playing direct from SD/CF isn't out yet?  come on.. let's just be happy with what we got For FREE.. and be happy when the next free thing gets released!  :)

No it's now.  M3 is still not officially released for another week or so.
There is no F**k up.  Romman is adding FREE functionality.  NDS capability was not an advertised feature until 2 months ago.  I'll be content when it comes.  There's nothing stopping you from playing the software, just the saves.  There are some differences between the CF and SD versions which is why he's taking his time to make sure compat is up.  Hell, I can't even get the f**ckin' M3 to play NDS stuff with all the newest stuff they put out.  That that's a cock up.

Hi there everyone, could someone kindly tell me if the new software (to be released) would play NDS games without the use of flashme/passme?

thanks in advance.
