I tried to patch a MK:DS ROM (one that normally worked after patching with the SC patcher), according to the instructions there. Actually, I just got the IPS patch from there, and patched my ROM with it. Then I took ik through patcher 2.57, so it saves on my MiniSD card. (my real MKDS cartridge is an european version, so the save files are not compatible with the US version)

Now I put the MiniSD card in my Supercard, and tried to boot it. I got the famous white screen of error...

Could anyone help?

Lol, thats is not true cuz there is a prepatched rom floating around out there. Plus, IPS patches are for patching ROMS

actually, i found the mkds hack. it requires that you have a REAL mkds cartridge in your ds. ie. flashme or passme1/2 (NOT NOPASS)
just put it in you supercard, load it, and wait 3 seconds.

The white screen was actually because of the 'Enable restart' feature in the patcher. With some modified ROMs, it gives a white screen. Even worked now with a un/re-ndstooled one.

edit-I read the article and dont think its true at all, my friend NEoBazz which is into Mkds hacking too has never heard of it.  :roll:

hm... anyone got this to work? these other tracks are interesting and fun to play online if possible

i have a nopass and a mario kart... can i possibly get this to work?

one thing i found out with no pass is that you can remove it on the super card start up screen... and the games work

1) put in nopass, boot up the screen
2) take out nopass put in game mario kart ds
3) choose a game (like tetris) and go in
4) L + R + A + B + Y + X to go back to the supercard screen
5) now it should have the same effect as if mario kart was in there in the first place....
6) go back into tetris again and put ds in sleep mode and it works! normally, if you take out the nopass in the bootup screen closing the ds would make it shut down....

so... any ideas on how to hack mkds? ... the patch i use doesnt work...

i patched a clean rom and i only enable faster game play... all other options disabled...

I might try a euro version later but i used cmd

x being the folder that the ROM is in

anyways it says the archive is incorrect or something (im only in spanish 2)
