Get one of those handy "100,000,000-in-one" (slight exaggeration) card reader things, they're really good to have around.

any usb card reader he means. You can get ones that claim they can work with a ridiculous amount of flash memory. Usually they say 52-in-one or whatever.

How do you read the media off of your MicroSD card? There's 9-in-one and 12-in-1 card readers (I just checked, also a few more). They basically just hook up to your computer USB and it reads most kinds of cards. I can't find one that supports MicroSD, but you can buy an adapter to convert MicroSD to SD THEN put it in a card reader.

HERE are some card reader options.

Unfortunetly, I can't find an adapter by itself.

'Tis also a good idea... but I assume that this is what he's using. I guess brands differ though.

WegeHop, have you tried connecting your MicroSD to your computer through different devices? It now seems that it's the reader, not user error (obvious).

yea i have i ried putting it in a digital camera and right when i turned on the camera it sadi"cant use memory card" or something like that.

Also i put the microsd card into my SC lite and did the self test and it said that my sd card was ok but it also said it didnt find a test file. And now moonshell does not work, but everything else works.

And another thing how would an sd reader make a difference of my microsd card not working??? Is my microsd card not reading becasue my sd reader cant read 2gb??? Oh just to let you know I have a Lexar USB2.0 reader. So if that is the problem (my sd reader couldnt read that big of size) didIi do any real damage to my microsd card? Oh and i forgot that it says that it supports SD , but i t never said micro sd.

Thanx and sorry for the long post.

I use to have that problem with my 2gb card when I got it but after a while of using it and sticking it in and out of the computer it worked in my hp built in reader.  You should try it.

wedgehop, Just pm'd you with some help.

To all,
This is what I use to read the microSD cards without an adapter SanDisk MobileMate SD+ 5-in-1 USB 2.0 Card Reader I got it at best buy and is not too expensive. It is $13.49 with free shipping! not bad and you do not need the micro adapter to use it.

A lot of HPs have an older bios that cannot read cards of 1 gig and above. A simple search of the HP site will net you a nice upgrade for your bios that will let you use the larger cards. I did this when I got my first 1 gig SD card since it wouldn't read correctly, now I have no problems using any sized card on my hP.

I also have that problem, what did you search for?  I already have the latest bios for the laptop and I also have the latest drivers for the Ti Card reader.
