I just got a supercard lite along with a superkey.. happily I went home and tried out a NDS rom but I only got a white screen on my DS lite! Here's what I did:

1. Downloaded the supercard lite v.256 and firmware v1.7 file from eng.supercard.cn
2. Added the rom file into that software and hit the "out" button to have it go into my microSD
3. Put the microSD into the supercard lite, put that and the superkey into the DS lite
4. hit the power switch. It then displayed the list of files (that NDS rom). I pressed the "A" button and it started loading (some numbers started running.. guessing its the size of the game that is being loaded). After this the screen goes white

I can't figure this out.. Tried reading the other threads on the boards but still lost.. help?

First question, Where did you purchase your SClite and Superkey? Also did you purchase the rumble version or not? If rumble style, make sure you have the correct software for it.

1.  I think you want to use the newer v2.57 with v1.7

2. make sure you see both the .dsq and .sav are on the microsd card.

4. Which rom are you trying to load, make sure it is a working rom.

I bought it from a local game shop where I got my NDS lite.. I tried the rom children of mana.. not very sure if it's the rumble version though.. I don't have it with me here so I can't check.. lets say what if I had and what if I hadn't?

2. yup I see both .dsq and .sav files

I also read somewhere that you may have to patch the rom files? I downloaded this thing called ndspatcher.exe.. haven't tried it yet.. does it help?

When you run the supercard software, that is the patcher software which creates the .dsq and .sav files, you do not use the ndspatcher software.

Where are you from (curious what is local)? It is possible that you purchased a fake supercard if it is not an authorized dealer. To check see here. Though I doubt they have made a SClite fake yet.

Children of mana are working roms.

Check to see which type of sclite you have ie rumble or not. and make sure  you get the correct firmware and supercard software that goes with it.

I'm from Singapore.. not sure about it being fake or not but I've patronized that shop before and I've never had much problem with them..

Didn't know there was a difference between rumble and non-rumble.. I downloaded the rumble software I believe.. maybe my SC is not rumble.. I'll check when I get back today and try to see if I can get it to work.. thanks for the advice

I didnt read anywhere that you said you update your supercard firmware. Im guessing thats why you're getting the white screen.

hm.. I only just bought the supercard lite so I assumed that the firmware is the latest one.. How do I test this?

And if it's not, how do I update the firmware to v1.7 (latest one I think)?

was a silly mistake actually.. didn't know the difference between rumble and non so I downloaded the rumble one when my SClite isn't a rumble one..

mprincess, glad it is working for you.

I think we will see more of this type of issue with the rumble SC vs. non rumble SC in the future and should be one of the first type of question you ask when replying.
