AARGHH!! Using Wifime to Flash Firmware :(

OK I have done all these steps:

PREPARATION

Get a compatible WIFI PCI card

I used the £17 sitecom wl-115 card from play.com:

Use this driver:

http://users.belgacom.net/bn967347/download/rt2560_driver_1_0_0_8.zip

Use this version of wmb.exe:

http://www.aaronrogers.com/nintendods/wifime/rt2560_app_wmb_1_1_fixed.zip

Download these files:

http://ds.gcdev.com/dsfirmware/ndsloader.bin

http://ds.gcdev.com/dsfirmware/flashme.nds

Run this command in windows command prompt in the dir containing the files

copy /b ndsloader.bin + flashme.nds flashme1.nds

copy flashme1.nds to your CF

FLASHING

start wmb.exe on the machine with the compatible wificard/driver on it

boot the DS and download the wireless multiboot program

The supercard menu should now pop up

run flashme1.nds

Follow the instructions on how to flash the firmware at:

I get up to the part where the supercard menu should pop up but instead I get a Nintendo - loading game screen and then failure , prompts me to turn the DS off! I am beyond frustrated! I have also updated the firmware on the supercard. Will someone please point me to the correct direction?

Hi the first thing I'd do is check that your wifime stuff is working correctly. Try running one of the wmb demos from http://www.akkit.org/DS/E3/ they should run without flashme - that will confirm your nic and wmb.exe is working correctly. At least you'll be able to tick one thing off as working then...

did you already start upgrading the firmware and then stop? cause that can seriously mess up your nds

I'd guess it might be the supercard then... I can only suggest you try reinstalling the latest kernel in GBA mode... it maybe a problem like this

put flashme.nds (not with ndsloader.bin) on /data folder in wmb folder.

usage

wmb.exe -data flasme.nds

with this one (http://users.belgacom.net/bn967347/download/wifime.zip)

but it must be put on supercard....

pc:
get the latest wmb AND (important!) the wifime.zip from the wmb website and put it in your wmb\data directory. then use command to execute: wmb -data wifime

copy the flashme1.nds (copy /b ndsloader.bin + flashme.nds flashme1.nds) on your supercard

ds:
download game
supercard should boot in DS mode

run flashme1.nds --> follow further instructions

Yes, I've done all that, and while the wireless demos work, the wifime stuff doesn't, so I'm led to believe that my supercard is DS incompatible. Now, having bought it from linker4u (Hong Kong) how do I return it goddamit?

ah there you go. No one has managed to get a hong kong ds properly working with passme or wifime yet..

Are you serious? I thought only the japanese red DS and the ique DS had problems with passme. If this is not the case then I'm in trouble

I repeat: Are you guys sure? I have read nothing like this anywhere. Only for the red Jap version and the chinese iQue, the rest of the Ds's should work with passme. BTW I have the black one.

When I download the wifime/passme hack, with the supercard/flashme in the DS slot, instead of taking me to the supercard menu it gives me a Nintendo loading screen, and after a few seconds it gives me a black screen with the error message saying something like the software failed to start/please turn off your DS. Demos though load fine.

wifi-me should start from download play!
