My guess:

The guy has some roms but they are all packed with Zip.
He hasn't any unarchiver assosiated with .zip files in his windows.
That is why all files display an empty paper as an icon.

What he need is to 1. unerstand what .zip files are and 2. how to unpack them and 3. how to use a computer in the first place :wink:

zip only opens .zip files

rar opens .rar and .zip

Extra security with rar.... Also you use what you have

rar archives can also be split into several files, handy if you don't want to copy a single 5GB DVD image.
