Hey Gleasonator, I got a GC and now I want to toss in the Modchip. You posted a couple of links for me - which site did you purchase yours from? Also, I am wondering what to do about burning games. I did not know that they are these little mini dvd's. Does a guy just go buy them from a store and then burn the games he rents?

Guys GOOD News:
I got myself a Wii and I found out that it plays flowlessy GCN games as well, and it even has two GC memory card slots (that are usable only for GC games ).
It seems that Nintendo went a long way to make sure that the Wii plays GC games, therefore I packed away my GC and from now on I'll be using a Wii instead even for GC games.
I'm not going to mod it just yet (because it's not posible at the moment) but I think I played most worth GC games anyway and a few that I missed, can be purchased used for $9.99 or less this days anyway, so I am sticking with the originals.
I mean there are probably oly 2 or 4 GC games out there that I can think of that I 'd still like to play, really it's not worth the investment to keep my Cube and mod it, not since I have about 30 originals anyway.
And it's gonna take me a long while to go trough Red Steel and Zelda right now........

Yes it will probably take you a long time with both Zelda and Red Steel.

Zelda will take a lot of time because it's awesome and a very deep game. I wish I play it soon.

Red Steel will take a lot of time because of the clumsy controls (in-game controls style, I'm not talking about the Wii remotes these are awesome).

q_armando: No problem. I'm sure you'll hear about it as soon as a Wii mod comes out.

kompact: I got mine at http://www.xbox-modchips.com/ . It came right when they said it would. I would just get a case mod too (GET A FULL CASE MOD. Those let you play regular DVDs. The only thing is that the laser is too small to read the whole DVD, so you can only save stuff on the first few GB of it).
