I have a Black DS Lite, with a supercard rumble, with a passkey 3 and 2 micro SDs 1 is 512mb and the other is 1gb.

when i first got my ds, it was in enlish. i downloaded the wrong sofware and firmware. i put the firmware onto the ds and it turned into chinese ='[

when i attempt to update the firmware with the rumble, i got an error message with translate into.

"This is not the correct update file"
"please switch off console"

I am not sure what to do

what i would like is to have the supercard in english with firmware 1.7 and does my friend need a flashed DS to do download play when i am sending the data?

For the download play, yes your friend does need to have a flashed DS.

wow, your not meant to be able to switch the languages, dont know how you managed that!

what version of scrumble do you have?

It seems he managed to put Chinese firmware on an English SC, but can't put English firmware on what probably appears to be a Chinese SC to the upgrade utility.

Thanks for the replys!!! I managed to download the chinese firmware ! and now have 1.7 But does anyone know of a way to get it back to english? THANKS!

there is no flashmp currently for the scliterumble, i am still stumped at how u could manager to change the language, the protection that stops you going back to english was meant to stop you changing to chinese. have you tried going to 1.63 english?

I don't own a SCLR but I think the original DarkFader FlashMP would still work.  It's not the same problem as trying to skin SCLR with the FlashMP/hack.  FlashMP doesn't require GBA mode/RAM to run.  Yes, the original DarkFader Flashmp would restore SCLR firmware to a very old version (older than SCLR), but the firmware should still work enough to allow SCLR to then be upgraded to a proper 1.7 Rumble version. Again, I don't own a SCLR so I could be very wrong. If I'm wrong then trying 1.63 English firmware wouldn't work either as Devil_Spawn suggested above.

Also if you are downgrading, remember the info from the supercard site and downgrading issue to 1.63:

Update(2006.11.11):About the SuperCard Lite upgrade & downgrade problem

Recently, there are some customers downgrade the SuperCard Lite version firmware v1.7 to v1.63. Even I don't know why they downgrade it, but they found out that the SuperCard Lite crash.
Here list below are the steps: How to upgrade to V1.7 again.



1. Format a MicroSD card.
2. Copy the firmware V1.7 file on it. Don't copy any other files.
3. Insert the MicroSD card and SuperCard Lite.
4. Open the DS power switch, don't care about the screen and wait 5 seconds.
5. press "A" button. You will find out that you can upgrade to V1.7

If that does not work, ask your supplier to swap over your SuperCard and start again!

Thanks ! I can't really swop it because its my fault, btw. i got it from gadget-asia.com. Everything is working, just in chinese i am happy with it being that way but still if you have a way, that would be great.
