There's really not much to do with Friend Codes at the moment besides send each other messages and involve you Mii in a Mii Parade ( allowing you to see the Mii's of all your registered friends and even take them and put them in your Mii Plaza) but it's nice to have them.

To get your code and register others... Go to the Message Board. Hit Create Message, then go to Address Book. There is your code. Hit register to register new ones. (this is assuming you've already set up the internet connection)

Feel free to add me, put your Plaza on Parade and watch my Mii's (not may at time of writing) come on through, feel free to send me messages too, especially when good multiplayer games like Animal Crossing and Metroid come out, sending mass messages are a good way to organize parties.

I'd like to point out that if you're a member of DualScreenRadio.com, you can input, trade, and share your Wii sytem code with other members now.  Just hit your My.DSR page and input yours, then you can use FIND FRIEND to find others ... We have quite a collection going!

The reason to trade codes is to share Mii's and correspond.
