Solution to game saving problem

I saw some ppl with game saving problems when using SuperCard on NDS games. I was stumped when i cant save my NDS games as well. Its actually some common sense but not for ppl who first use them, espcially ugrading from GBA to NDS, where normally assume the save function of GBA is same as the NDS SuperCard.

So perhaps here is a little guide.

Fix
- Real Time Save and Normal Save do not apply in NDS. It just saves the game like a normal game card.
- DISABLE real time save under Options when patching your game with the SuperCard application on PC. This is important. NDS game WILL NOT SAVE if this is enabled.
- saver patch under Options is for GBA only, so leave it or disable it.

If for any reason the game cannot be patched, be sure to patch the game again with the "enable DMA", "play faster game" and "trim ROM" options DISABLED. "Enable DMA" is not supported on some titles.

When out file (ie pressing OUT after adding all the games), the SuperCard application will freeze or register "Not Responding" by Windows, and your HDD indication light on your computer will flash non-stop. This is common and it takes quite some time (give it like 3 minutes for a 64mb game) to patch the games, just leave it on.

I noe this is very basic, just hope it helps new users.

cygig, thanks for being so helpful, after only recently joining the forum!
However, i just want to make a correction:

the quote above is true, but the following quote is in error:
Quote from: "cygig"DISABLE real time save under Options when patching your game with the SuperCard application on PC. This is important. NDS game WILL NOT SAVE if this is enabled.
- ENABLE the saver patch under Options.
This has no bearing on DS games.  real time save and saver patch are GBA-only, and have no impact at all on DS games.

Just wanted to clear that up.

P.S. I'm from Singapore too (well, I was born there and lived there a long time, but I'm American)

cygig

lol, so are you still in Singapore now? How old are you?
