Hello,
just wanted to ask for what I need to convert my roms IF i turn every option off? (except savepatcher, which i also did before on every rom with gbata)

i mean, the program puts out only gba files that also can be run in a gba emulator like visualboy advance! the only difference i notice is that the most roms are a bit smaller (1 or 2 mb) after i put them through the converter, even if i did not choose compress rom. its like using gbata and using ROM Trimmer. does the software automatically do that?

the question is: do i even need the software if i save-patch my roms before and dont want the extra options like cheating or rts? cause i cannot see any difference to the roms before except that the new ones are a little bit smaller

note: i did not get my gba yet, thats why i cannot test if original gba files also work ;)

Yes, it automatically trims roms. You do need the patcher even if you don't use any patching options, because it always patches the WAITCNT register accesses to stop the game from setting fast wait state settings. The RAM in the supercard is too slow to support the wait state settings used by most games, so the patch util stops the game from setting it and leaves it as the default.

Ok. well my card came with 2.30 converter, i kept this one and the kernel on the card because i heard the new 1,50 kernel makes problems with some gba devices. my friend comes along in some hours, brings me a gba sp, then i can try the supercard and if everything works well. i just dont want slowdowns, so i did not use any of the patchers options, also because i dont need them (cheat and rts, dont want to save at a place where the game doesnt want me to save ;))

well i'll see hopefully it works with my gb micro i'll get next week

you have to go to options to take things away and how was it on your friends gba sp? :?:

well of about 50 tested roms i think 4 or 5 did not start - may be because i used an old rominfo file in the converter. 2 had minor slowdowns. the rest was perfect. i will try more exact when i get my gameboy next week, if i can get some games to work or not we'll see it were titles i do not really care about ;)
