Mods, I am not asking for any website.

I just want to know:  Do psp roms exist?  Can you put them on a SONY memory stick duo and run it on the psp just like nds roms on a nds?

Don't worry I am a nds fan.  I am just curious.

well, a type of thing exists, but they are called "ISO's"
I know a website forum to help you get started,
I have sent you the website by PM

Be sure your firmware is correct (anything up to 2.71, if 2.80 i think its possible, but definately not 2.81 or 2.82 or 3.00) But eventually all firmwares will be hacked.

Please register at the forum and ask for help, I will be there to help! :D

My friend has a PSP and he told me he could play ROMs. He could even change the firmware, from 2.71 to 2.5 in a matter of clicks!

hi
this is a really good place to start gathering psp knowledge - try the forums part of the site

loads of info & downloads for tweaking the psp for homebrew etc usage.  At the moment there appears to be a minor development revolution occuring with the development/release of some very clever custom firmware allowing a myriad of useful functions including playing of the latest games without the need for a UMD, as well as homebrew designed for firmware 1.50 - FYI in it's latest incarnation this custom firmware is called 2.71 SE-C.
