Hi everyone  :)
Erm, A noob here and just got my supercard microsd a few days ago so not very sure about what I'm doing.
Anyways, I downloaded a gba. spongebob squarepant episode earlier and realize that it's only 32 MB total for 4 EPISODE. I'm just wondering if there's a program out that that let me do the same thing?
I tried Meteos and GBA media converter, however... it doesn't seem to be working, perhaps I did something incorrect. If it isn't too much of a hassle, can someone please help me out? Is there a program to convert avi and such to .gba? And is there a program to compress the gba so that it's only about 32MB for 4 episode?

Hope I'm not asking too much. And thanks for taking your time out to read this thread.

Jennifer2k89, first off, welcom to scdev!

To help out with your avi to ds issue, well the ds plays files called .dpg and can be watch with a program called moonshell. and to go from avi to dpg you can use a couple programs, I prefer batchdpg.

Take a look at this tutorial to help you out and get you on the right track, MoonShell Tutorial: install, customize, and more (ver. 1.5)

Thanks for the welcome onekelly.

I do have Moonshell and do know how to convert video to .dpg however, the size is quite big. Around 32mb(.dpg) for a 132mb(avi) video after conversion. I'm trying to convert it to .gba because it seem like the size will be smaller. Since I notice that 4 episode is only 32mb when its in gba. format. Correct me if I'm wrong but you can't compress .dpg?

i guess you could go lesser quality. I would have to play a little with it to find out if possible, cause generally I am looking for average quality to file size ratio. I do not know if you can or how toconvert to .gba type format.

TBO when dealing with filesize, I just took my family to disneyworld and with a 6+ hour flight I bought an extra 1g SD (adata $15, newegg) for my daughter and a 512microSD (adata $15 newegg) for myself to help out with the filesize and wanting more videos or cartoons to take along.

The site gbatemp.net (you will have to join, but has alot of info) has a thread for this topic called Movies on gba. There are 140 post on this thread, good luck and let us know what you find!
