I have a Sony PSP which I have fully modded to Run ISO's etc, I played on a DS Lite over the weekend and loved it, so want to buy one is there a version I need to lookout for with a certain firmware so be able to run games etc?

This really should be in help, but here goes:

All DS Lite have the same firmware. To play a flashcart, you need to flash your DS or get a 'superkey' or other related item.

Not entirely true, Japanese DS Lite firmware is different than that of other/later models. FlashMe shows the found firmware, and on some, maybe even all current DS Lites it doesn't recognize the firmware, because it's newer. However, NoPass'es like the SuperKey still work on all DS Lites, so the different versions shouldn't make a difference, at least at this point in time.
