I have: Supercard SD + Superkey w/ fw 1.7

I place the clean roms into the 2.57 patchers, set-up the out folder, then click OUT and nothing happens. I try to minimize it while it patches but it won't noticing that the program isn't responding. Even clicking OUT and waiting forever until it's done, nothing happens. I thought it was my win98 being the problem, but then I tried it on another computer (w/ xp) and it did the exact same thing. I re-installed the patcher on my win98 and instead of doing nothing and freezing, now it's giving me a wierd error.


So once I do get it working, it should create 2 files, dsq & dsi, and isn't that the only files I need to play the game?

EDIT: I only placed 1 rom in there at a time, so I wouldn't have to sit there wondering how much longer it would take.

That's normal, if you append too much roms, it seems like its frozen but its not .. also I'm not sure it works under Win98. Try appending a small game first, then clicking out to see what happens.

And after you're done, yep, it should create 2 files, but since I own a supercard rumble, I'm not sure they're the same as yours .. mine creates a .sav and a .dsq file.

Well I have some wonderful news. I wasn't a retard and just didn't know how to simply click OUT!!!

After trying to get it to work this morning, then deciding to see if I could get my problem answered here, at the same time my friend was re-installing the o.s. wipping the main hd clean. So just now with the newer computer up and running again, we tried to install the 2.57 and it works like a charm! I'm not quite sure what was wrong, but I don't care now that it's working.
