We still may be playing through The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess but the 165th issue of Game Informer reports that a new Zelda title has been in development for a year. If true, this could mean we see Link return to the Wii sooner than we thought.

The second tidbit of news they've reported is that The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass has been delayed until October 2007. This would make sense; the game didn't have an overly impressive showing at E3 2006 and we've heard nothing about it since then.

Man this kills me. I LOVE Zelda, but damn these games take about 4 hours a day out of my life,lol. I would not expect a new Zelda till 2008 at the earliest and at that it would most likely be a holiday 2008 release. Still though im interested in seeing some screens from a Zelda built FOR THE WII and see how they do with a graphics upgrade.

Not surprised... Nintendo always has a team working on zelda games. Seriously, if you remember what they were saying, TP had been in the works before WW was released as well. It seems to be standard nintendo practice. Just because it's been in development for a year already doesn't mean we will see it any sooner. Nintendo doesn't fool around when it develops zelda games, it will still be probably another year before we even see a demo of it, then another year or two at least before release.

agree that this is snooze news, except for the LoZ:PH delay. Noooooo! I mean I didn't like what they were doing with it all that much ... all touch, all gay ... but still I was hoping not to have to wait another year before I had me some DS Zelda.

o_O Few months before release? You do know we heard about TP being in production soon after WW was released right? We just didn't know it was going to contain a more "adult" theme until E3 2004. Even then, that's 2 1/2 years, hardly a few months.
