Hi, I have a couple of questions that I couldn't find by searching.

1)  Is there a way to use the DS's internal clock for GBA games, such as Pokemon Emerald ("The internal battery has run dry")?

2)  Does the SC support GBC games?  If it doesn't, is there a way to play them on the DS using SC?

Sorry about the newbish questions, I'm pretty new at this stuff =[[

Thanks  :D

1. Sorry, i have no clue.

2.No the SC do not support the gbc games. BUT, you can play gbc/gb games with goomba.

Here is a post i made on a thread titled Zelda ages anda seasons.
Quote from: "onekelly"spliff, if you are having issues with goomba color, try out the goomba 2.3(not color).
Here is the Goomba forum on pocketheaven.com. with loads of info

Here is Flubba's site which has changed recently.

And here is Goomba 2.3

One last thing, kuwanger unofficial Goomba 2.32 has been improving on flubbas recent releases. He also posts alot on pocketheaven.

With all this said, i use goomba on a xrom512 and have never tried on an SC product. But i will soon, (today).
Hope this helps you out and i am glad you are asking.

No, GBA games can't access the DS internal clock (RTC).

Thanks for the help, I'll check it out =]]

That sucks about the clock.  Hopefully future updates will feature a way to use RTC.

For the built in RTC, there is none, nor is there a way to tap into the DS's built in clock, however, you can use a patch to get rid of that battery run dry thing and have a clock cycle.  I forgot where that patch was, it was old, but it should still work.

http://haggar.emuunlim.com/fix/ here is on site for the rtc clock patch info. found it on gbatemp.net.

Hi

Just curious, how does this thing work. The only thing I can think of is that it adds hardware that isn't there, and that isn't possible. What do you mean by a clock cycle?

No, you found it for unluckylink13, not me. No offence, but are the names unluckylink13 and hi similar? I need to get myself an advatar so people will start realizing who's me and who's somone else.

Not at all similar, just trying to help out. I do not play pokemon so i do not know either way.

AFAIK, there's a patch for Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire that gets rid of the "Battery run dry" problem and gives you time based events, but it doesn't work for Pokémon Emerald. It's a pity, but it treats the game as if it didn't need the patch.
I tried with the patch above (I needed to download some libraries in order to use it, google them), and it patches correctly Ruby and Sapphire versions, but it skips Pokémon Emerald too.

Thanks for all the info =D

Hmm... I wonder why it doesn't work with Emerald?  Oh, well, it doesn't matter =]]

My guess is because Emerald is the latest installment in the series, thus is was released later. Programmers didn't update those patches to recognize the game, making it not compatible with them.

Okay, well I have some good news and some bad news...

If you have the newest firmware of SuperCard, it has Goomba Color built in.  Just put on the GB or GBC game and play.

The bad news is I don't know how to save the games.  The two games I've tried is Pokemon Silver and Pokemon Trading Card Game (I've been getting into Pokemon lately, obviously   ).  Could anyone help me?  I'll post here if I find out somewhere else how to do it, also.

Edit//  Also, when I ran Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire through the RTC patcher, it said it couldn't do something, and that the ROM might be already patched.  Well, it wasn't, but I got it to complete it if I ran a Supercard-patched version of the .GBA file, but after that it wouldn't run on Supercard (It just had a white screen).  If anyone could help me with that, it would be cool, too.

Just get a .sav file from one of your GBA games and rename it to match your GBC rom then put it in the same directory as the GBC rom.
