Personally, I have had the MOST fun with the DS lineup than I have had with any other game system (other than maybe the GBA) in years....perhaps back since the SNES. Not saying that the other game systems were not good, but simply saying that I get the same fun factor out of the DS as I did with some choice previous game systems that I enjoyed. In short, no, the DS does not "suck". This poll is rediculous imho.

Actually, I believe the topic creator is more ridiculous than the topic itself. Anyway, I've seen more clowns on gamefaqs.

The DS is actually a good system with good software but it's not worth it unless I can pirate stuff.

i said "emulators+moonshell" nothing very new to pirate, and it's a good thing to pirate games on DS , cause DS games sucks (except a few that i have buy), i will not spend a day of work for a shitty game... i work too hard for that. Im not a child, i don't have parents to buy my games....

For the record, I don't play Pokemon. Anyway, if you're have to keep on complaining about how sucky the DS is, take it out on Nintendo where people really care. Have a nice day :)

Think of it this way: There are actually all in all more good games being released now than there were "back in the day" but that's hard to see because there are SO many crappy games being released. I mean all systems when I say this. And it's really not that hard to tell. I have not been burned on a video game purchase for a long time. You just have to be diligent. Read reviews. Stay away from franchise tie-ins. Learn the publishers that tend to release what you like, etc.

PS: Rick Dangerous = awesome. I played the hell out of that on the Amiga.

It helps to own a Supercard to find the gems.

I think the DS has an unusually high ratio of good games in it's library. Far more good games than most handheld systems including GB, Lynx, GameGear, Neo Geo Pocket, Wonder Swan, GBC, N-Gage, or PSP. The only other handhelds that come close to DS as far as good games are GBA and Nomad. (Nomad because it's a handheld Sega Genesis)
