Opera browser - Free trial

The opera browser for the wii is up for download now. I'm getting it now but the downloads pretty slow :?

Edit: I've just tested it, it's pretty good, loads pages quickly and the layout it good. It's a bit hard to navigate though, you have to zoom in and out and scroll with the b button. I haven't tested flash yet.

Just so everyone is clear this is the BETA version, so there will be errors and some stuff not working properly.

I was on the Shop Channel about 10 minutes ago and didn't see it. Hope my wireless is working fine.

It's not supposed to be out till the 22nd so if it's not the 22nd where you are, it's most likely not up yet.

It won't be up in the US shops for another hour or so. The update isn't exactly at midnight and it's only midnight on the east coast.

To further explain, the beta version is free and the "final" version will be released by the end of march. The browser is free to download till June. If you already have it downloaded by then it's yours free forever. If you don't download it by June, you'll have to pay a one time 500 Wii point fee to get the browser.

Have mine now. Slow to type, but as you can see I can view and post here fine.

Youtube works well too, but the navigation bar keeps it from full screen.

For those wondering it became available 3am exactly EST, midnight PST. Evil nintendo.

Should be completely available throughout the U.S. since I had it available this morning and I live on the West Coast.

No the Wii browser doesn't support Java. At least the trial version doesn't.

i remember seeing it work since it's one of the first thing i tried, but it doesn't seem to work anymore...
did youtube "fixed" something ? those bastards...

It wasn't working for me on either of my Wiis yesterday. I checked on the computer, and they were performing website maintanance, but it works perfect now =]]
