From what I see. EZ5 is better in terms nds roms.  I know it can't load gba roms, but how is its support from its developers?

Which one is worthy to buy?  Oh the decisions!
M3 Simply
Onyx Black DS lite
1 GB Japanese Kingston microSD

I like the EZF because of it's side loading MicroSD slot...

Sounds like the Supercard "One" is a disaster :(
EZ-Flash, a company I previously thought badly of because of their constant re-releases, seems to have taken the lead - and it's... it's actually... CHEAPER!  Cheaper than Supercard!  I didn't know such a thing was possible!

SCDS is crap for the price...
 like cream soda...

I'm very interested in the EZV. I'll wait for some reviews and how the M3 Simply or whatever will be. My bet is on those 2. From what I've read so far, SCDS can still improve with updates.

Well I have always loved the EZ Team products.  Yea sure they screwed me over with the constant rereleases of the same product ( EZ Flash IV, EZ Flash IV Lite, EZ Flash IV Lite Compact, EZ Flash IV Lite deluxe), but they still support all their products.  Basically the rereleases you think of them as Supercard Lite, with a new mold, they just put a new sticker on it.  They have constant upgrades, and they always try to do their best, and even their older carts are seeing updates once in a while.  I'm thinking of buying another EZ Flash 3 for my gap in GBA support right now.  The EZV looks like a very solid cart, and I will definately get one sooner or later.

it is still too early to call supercard DS a disaster.   jeez you guys..

Exactly!  It' been out for what...a week?  Give them some time to update the firmware...

PharaohsVizier

Well compared with other carts, it is a disaster, but I guess they could patch it and so on.

Altor

It's not necessarily a disaster in the long run, but its launch certainly has been... and that's what all the reviews and a lot of customer opinion will be based on.  For the Supercard team, known for at least quality consistent with price, this will certainly be a kick in the teeth.  They'll most certainly bounce back, but the damage to their reputation if nothing else is already done.

sneef

i guess I was disappointed when i tried mine out, but my admiration for the supercard lite still hasn't worn off, so I would hesitate to write off the supercard team.

I think all the retailers scrambled for a pre-christmas launch of slot-1 devices.. i'm sure we'll see a more mature SCDS firmware soon.

just in case, i ordered an EZV. lol

PharaohsVizier

What is disappointing is that from what you said and what bitblt say, this generation doesn't look too good for Supercard cuz of the DS Linker and SCDS.

sneef

DS Linker is not a supercard product.  and I honestly believe that SCDS will turn out to be better than it is now.  it's just too bad it was released like that.

PharaohsVizier

DS Linker is not a Supercard product, but is distributed by Supercard.  To me, that means the same thing.  A company that distributes a product is responsible for its quality.

I too believe that SCDS will turn better, sooner or later.  But still, if I were to buy a flashcart, why take the chance?  Go for the EZV, it does the exact same thing, it also has a quality company backing it up, and best of all, it is working NOW.
