Hey guys, first off, happy holidays...I dunno if you guys remember me, but i was the guy who dropped his NDSL while watching Casino Royale. Well, I couldnt find any liquid plastic glue anywhere near where I live, so i bought a SHOCK! red case replacement (I bought it at NDS-Central like an idiot and its gonna take like 20 business days...should have bought it at realhotstuff) Anyways i turned on my NDSL for the hell of it and noticed my top screen has a blue tinge, and it changes back to normal when i adjust the ribbon, but its really annoying to adjust everytime, is there a way to fix this?

I had a similar problem with one of my DS phats,  What it was was the ribbon going to the top screen was broken so I had to get a new ribbon.  But on the DS lite the ribbon going to the top screen is attached to the screen so you would need a whole new screen.  But I cant find anyone that sells DS lite parts because I need a new motherboard and I have searched all over ebay and google.  If you find a place that sells parts could you tell me.

do you think if i adjust it a bit it will be fixed? cuz i seriously want to fix it asap without much hassle  :(

it may be a similar issue to this:

make sure the cable is fully pushed in, there should be no gap between the cable edge and connector.

personally, i reinforce the ribbon cable with normal sticky tape to reduce the chances of damaging it.

rocky, i think your best bet at the moment on getting a working mainboard is to buy a faulty unit from ebay. i got one from ebay for £30 and all that's wrong with it was the hinge broke off and ribbon cable ripped.

Hi

For the record, this kind of thing is the reason I tell my friends to get a dsphat rather than a dslight. I've dropped my ds phat on very hard serfaces MANY MANY times. The DSphat is extreemly durable. That is, if water isn't spilled on it. Oh no, I wasn't so stupid that I spilled water on my dsphat and had to get a new one. Oh no... that was someone else... by the name of... I can't remember but it wasn't me. Of corse is wasn't me. I mean why would I do that... right? I didn't spill water on my dsphat. Or... maybe I did...

If it's THAT bad, then I'd just buy a new DS. It wouldn't be worth spending your money (probably $50+ USD) for replacement parts. As for the labor part. I'm a hard working guy, so I'll ignore that issue :P lol
