I'm considering the Supercard DS, but I'm very confused.

Ok, well... my friend sorta convinced me to get an NDS Lite with a bootleg device a.k.a. Supercard, etc... I was considering getting a Supercard DS + microSD + Nintendo DS Lite as sort of a late Christmas gift for myself. However, I've been hearing bad shit about the Supercard DS, especially on this forum lol, so I'm not sure if I wanna get it or not. People were mostly complaining saying how games don't work, but my friend said that Supercard will eventually release software and stuff for download in order to fix that. My friend told me it was future-proof and also much cheaper, since well... I'm cheap? However, I'm sorta confused on getting it or not. I don't know what standard mode or super mode is either. So... So should I get myself a Supercard DS?

SuperCard DS Info Page, Explains the modes and points out the features. I'll also be doing a review of the SCDS soon...

im also thinking about getting this. i just got a new navy blue ds lite from japan and i wanted a slot 1 supercard, i was about to buy the supercard for ds lite when i found out about this.

whats better. ive got a feeling that most games that down work on the new slot 1 supercard, they will be patched. so why not?

edit - but ive just had a look at the EZ-FLASH V and it looks a lot better so far it seems to work with more games now, and its cheaper.

damn slot 1 cards  :(

I t hink the SUpercard Slot 1 will be supported alot but i also believe that it wont have every feature that they list

Also Hello Sinkhead would u sell any of your Slot-1 cards? if so what price for just the cartridge? just £20 inc recorded delivery?

All the new Slot 1 cards are rumoured to be exactly the same hardware.
There are minor sortware/firmware differences.

Supercard DS1 appears to be the best at the moment.
Ninjapass X9 appears to be the worst at the moment.

What about the EZ Flash V? Many say its pretty good.

As with everything else in the world.  The supercard DS will get better over time and compatibility will always be an issue with newer games.  I can say that I love the interface and I beleive that future revisions will make the product a solid investment.
