I wanted to use QPC saving on my GBA games to help speed them up a little.. but it wasn`t working... it turns out the 1.70 firmware disabled that feature... so i downloaded the 1.63 firmware from this site... and  after i installed it ... the menu is now unreadable ( all distorted colors but i can blindly navigate it) no games will load, and when i try to upgrade the firmware back to 1.7 all i get is two white screens... i suppose this is a good chance to switch to a 1 slot card but i still  want to get this to work... if possible

Look the supercard site

# 1. Format a MicroSD card.
# 2. Copy the firmware V1.7 file on it. Don't copy any other files.
# 3. Insert the MicroSD card and SuperCard Lite.
# 4. Open the DS power switch, don't care about the screen and wait 5 seconds.
# 5. press "A" button. You will find out that you can upgrade to V1.7

holy cow it worked... that 5 seconds really makes a difference... thank you dudu... just one question... is it safe to try and go back to 1.63 again?... or should i just put up with the slowdown?

Don't even try to reflash if it isnt needed.  I have read too many post about people flashing when they didnt need to.  It usually ends up in tears.

thats funny cause i was just about to try that... alrighty i guess i`ll　just  take the slow motion battles in swordcraft 2... no sense in really bricking my sc for 1 gba game

one should also mention that you cannot downgrade to the 1.63 firmware.  it is an upgrade firmware and not a full like 1.7.  if anyone has 1.63 firmware on their supercard lite and a means to dump it plz pm me.

If my sclite unit (when it arrives) has v1.63, I'll dump it and let you know.
