I have had a similar problem to many others apparantly, in that even after repeated attempts nothing changes in my game after my pokemon editing.  I am using a Supercard Lite, but i've heard successful reports from other supercard users. I have a feeling it has something to do with the Rom overwriting the .sav file with data stored in the .dsq file, or perhaps something to do with saves only being saved when the DS is next turned on.

Can anyone please help me shed some light on this? I can't for the life of me figure why my original game just can't seem to be overwritten

I had a similar problem with the Supercard One v1 and to fix it i just deleted all the .sav files in the scshell folder.

Yeah I've tried a couple of times using my sc lite and I get no change at all using this program.

When I open my .sav file, alot of the information suddenly supplied seems to be all stock, rather than showing what my .sav data actually is, I don't know whether this is normal or not.

All 6 pokemon slots show a bunch of green bars for the name as well even after editing all of the pokemon's info.

After clicking save and putting the .sav back into my sc lite, there's no change at all, not even the time or age of the sav file, which I tried changing around to see if I could even affect that, but to no avail.

If anyone got this working with the sc lite and would like to takea few mins to write a step-by-step, it would be greatly appreciated.

Save about 3 times and then obtain your SAV, works for me (SC One v1)

liquidnitrogen

of course it works on a Supercard lite... haha...

step1) get the Pokesave editor program. .38B fully translated (?)
step2) get your save and put it someplace where you can find it
step3) open up the editor, click open on your save
step4) depending on what you want to do, its different

if you want to edit your main party, go to the pokemon, click edit, and change whatever you want...

if you added a pokemon to a spot that wasnt there before, change the # of pokemon in your party to the number you have in total after you added it (its below the 6th pokemon in your party... the box)

if you want to change the pokemon in the storage box, click the storage, and ... its like editing hte main party

step5) click SAVE, or Save as - obviously saving what you just did
step6) copy and paste the save back into your SD, or whatever media you have
step7) IT SHOULD WORK!... yeah, i've done this... 10+ times and it does work.

IMPORTANT: for those pokemon that you added that wasnt there before, it'll show a fainted status, 0/0 etc.... JUST PUT IT IN THE BOX and withdraw it, it'll be what you put it as....

ALSO - note

IV - is the individual values a pokemon has - it is GENERATED at random!

EV - what you gain through battling

Ability - use serebii.net to get the ability a LEGITIMATE pokemon would have... -.- (note: i was looking at a hacked save today, and saw a Shiny Charizard with the ability "levitate" when it should be something like "blaze"... ... which is stupid and redundant seeing that the type "FLYING" should already do everything "Levitate" does.

Movesets - ... self explanatory - use serebii.net for a list of possible moves a pokemon should learn

HOW TO MAKE IT A SHINY POKEMON - go to Attributes BOX - and check off SHINY. ... tahdah...

NOTE: For you to be the "trainer" of the pokemon, i believe its the same Trainer ID, including the Secret ID, and NAME and the Gender of yours...

everything else is... pretty much there...

heh... 31 IVs to everything would be cheating... but meh...

uzumakishade

is there anywhere where i can get legit .pkmn files? i want to add some of the starters etc at lvl 5, but i want them to be legit

liquidnitrogen

perhaps the easiest way to make them "legit" would be to make it an egg...

just have the right pkmn ability and the right attacks

Change the IV to something decent (its all random.. but 16's are average, and probably anything above 24's are above average)

and just hatch the egg (after walking 70 x 256 steps .. or whatever amount of steps you want)

you can also change the nature.... which you really cant tell if it was "hacked" or "legit" haha

and i suppose to not make it shiny...

(though, doing it this way makes it hatch at lvl 1, but its no big deal right?)

uzumakishade

ya, the only thing i have problems with is setting up IVs/EVs for my pokemon, i never know what to set it around for a lvl 5
if anyone knows where i can see what IVs/EVs pokemon have at lvl 5 that would be appreciated or if they can just tell me i need them for all 12 starters

Also i put Exp Share on all my of my party, and they only get about  2 -4 exp each, is it because they all have exp share on? or is it because all their IVs/EVs are 0?

liquidnitrogen

GAR!...

ok... the IV at lvl 1 or lvl 100 are the same... as long as its the same pokemon...

just think of IV as rolling a die. its a game of chance...

as long as you dont put 31 for everything its OK....

0 IV = bad crap pokemon...
31 IV = uber good...

anyways. this is what IV does...

lets use ATTACK for example

at lvl 100

if the IV is 0, lets say the attack is 200
if the IV is 31, the attack will be 231...

1 point for every IV added...

though you wont really see it until lvl 100....

yeah.... so
if you really dont know what to put for IV, just spam 16,16,16,16,16,16
...
not too strong, but not too weak

uzumakishade

oh ok thanks for the help liquid, didnt know it stayed the same the whole 100 lvls, must've been thinking of EVs.

And thanks Jerm for the site

Just put 31 for everything with the IV's. IV's really aren't a big deal.

For the EV's, don't max everything out, as it's illegal. You can't do that in the game. What you do is spread EV's, and the way it works is:

you can only have 510 EV's total and you can only put 255 EV's in any one given stat. 4 EV's equals one stat point at level 100. So if you want, say a Heracross with max Speed and max Attack you'd put:

252 in Attack, 252, in Speed, and say 6 in HP. The reason you use 252 is because it's divisible by 4. Anything higher (253, 254, 255) is a waste of EV's. Better to just carve those 3 off and put them in HP.
