Theoretically, is it possible to run Opera Browser European Version on a single slot-1 cart?  

Doesn't the cart have built in RAM?  And couldn't you just load the rom onto the slot-1 cart?

I am not too good at these things, so I'm guessing that somebody has already spent countless hours trying this out.  If this is impossible, could somebody explain why?

I REALLY wish some homebrew team would step up the work and create a nice browser with an excellent GUI.

The difference is slot-2 devices have additional ram built into them. Most slot 1 devices don't (or have a lot less). Also the browser has to be modified to be able to use the RAM since it's not the same as the standard ram cart it's distributed with.

That said, would it be possible eventually? Yes... but I don't believe it is currently. Though I may be wrong -shrugs- I'm not that up to date. Portable web browsing is something I grew out of in the PALM era.

me too.. i prefer to just use a PC.  grew out of it with my palm III.

however, i do like to have the capability.  It comes in handy in a boring meeting. heh. obviously i wouldn't whip out a DS or PSP in a meeting, but i can pretend to be taking simple notes on my pocketpc, and actually be reading scdev.org..
