It's the New Year. 11 o' clock for me, and I was reading the YouTube posts. He says it's releasing tomorrow at "usual" places.

It will be available at the "usual places" if you dont know where that is, this isnt for you. I'll give you guys an update tomorrow on the legitimately of this video as "Nester72" (creater of the video) says he will release this tomorrow sometime at 4pm (EST) so we'll see what happens

He sounds pretty sure about it though. What do you think? I'm in a neither deny or doubt state about this. Anything is possible... even though that this seems unlikely. But then again it is very unlikely. Pimmyboy... let's keep our promises.

It is a total fake, they used 2 Wii's and switched the video source like someone already commented. Look at the Wii menu at :25 secs in and then look at the Wii menu at 1:29 after the "bootloader" is started. One Wii doesn't have the latest firmware update and has the older Wii Menu skin ( look just above the date to see the differences in the Wii menu). I have said it before and will each time, NO group that is a legit hack group makes silly ass videos like these and then proclaims to "unlesh onto the world on X day", everyone that has done so has been lame fakers. Real legit hackers post source and how to's or simply post the hack without lame ass build up's. The reason legit hack groups don't post BS videos is because they want to work in peace and release it when it is ready, not worry about setting a deadline that if they miss everyone will hound and bitch over. This is fake.

What I want to know is why the Hell someone would work this hard on messing with people. Jerks...

I still want to believe this is real, but I only have a flickering 1% left in me from the skin change. Let's wait until tomorrow and make Nester72 and pimmysays hate pages. That'll probably be as much of a waste as the video though. XD

Be careful if anyone finds a "Wii Bootloader" on P2P sites- this causes PCs to crash and a re-install is required.

alright guys, here's the deal, "nester72" released his so called "bootloader" on to our ftp server last night, however I can now confirm that his video (which was uploaded by me) is 100% FAKE! I do apologize if I lead any one to believe that this video was more then a fake but like you, I was hoping that this video was the real deal but unfortunately it did not turn out that way. I'm sure that sometime in the near future homebrew and LEGAL backups will be playable on the wii.

So... to anyone who believed, it's fake. Pimmysays said so himself, check the youtube vid.

I love that site... tried to register a while back though and I only got half way through. Weird... anyways, thanks for that.

By the way, guys, if anyone's interested in the actual JPEG used in the video, I asked pimmysays for it and he told me to PM him. So.... I did, and if I get it I'll post it here.

well spotted?  it was completely obvious that they used 2 wii's i mean come on. when he changed the video source on the tv it was a dead giveaway.  the difference in the firmware on the two wii's however took a fine eye and was probally used to further prove that the video was in deed, a fake.  it wouldn't surprise me if this was the same guy who stated that there would be a ps3 bootloader to load ps3 games off the hdd back in december.  i can't believe how much internet buzz he created with this fake wii bootloader.

The changed video source wasn't a good enough giva away. When the Wii rebooted it could have had to go out and find it again.

Nothing new from pimmy yet. He tried to send me a link but YouTube wouldn't accept it. I asked him to take out "http://www." and ".com" and said that I'd just figure it out.

That was around midnight, though, so let's see what happens.
