Both, R4 and M3, offer a Savegame Conversion Tool.

According to the tool it will work with SuperCard, M3, DSlink, AceKard, EZflash IV and Ewin.

Well...based on a lot of feedback I got from posting this thread, I purchased two M3 Simply's from RHS and received them this past Monday.  I can say everything I've thrown at it has worked perfectly.  The main reason I went with the M3 instead of the SCDS One was the cards are used by my small boys and I was a little concerned about the save settings that they might need to change.  If the card would have been for my own use I probably would have went with the SCDS One just because I did like the GUI a little better but the M3's works fine and is very easy for small boys to use.

I still kinda feel like I betrayed the Supercard team a little bit by not supporting them with buying their product.

I have no idea why people keep bashing the supercard. I have absolute 100% compatability with all games and homebrews iv tried (no avatars or emotes on beup though). can anyone tell me which games they're having problems with so i can try?

Anyway from the reviews i read on the R4/M3 they're basically the same and Supecard seems to be a little better (at least to me).
I originally wanted to get an M3 but my dealer doesn't have them so I went with supercard. No dissapointments.

I didn't like that info window that always pops up but you can easily change that in the global.ini file.

Mailyfesux

well mainly its because of the build quality

Castlevania: POR.

The game will freeze randomly.  Try playing for about 30 minutes and it'll freeze.

It doesn't seem to be related to the speed of your MicroSD card or the speed setting that you select in the Supercard OS either.

Every other game appears to work fine, but POR seems to have problems.

I had the two Slot 1 solutions for some days, took some photos

The µSD on the middle is just here for scale comparison, it's not part of any bundle.

R4's bundle way more interesting than SCDS's one

The R4 µSD usb reader is tiny, but works well

The µSD is easier to handle on the R4 than on the SCDS

With the SCDS it's actually difficult to change the µSD without
unplugging the SCDS

The SCDS's GUI is much nicer than the R4's

R4 & M3 Simply are the same card, only one solder point mods one to another.

I bought a SCDS for myself and ordered a few R4's for friend since.
If I knew, I probably had opted for R4 too, but I was satisfied with my SCCF, so I didn't want to take a chance at the time I bought my SCDS.

Castlevania works completely fine on my supercard...

I'm using a 1GB kingston card and castlevania only froze on me once, and that was because i used holy lightning (omgwtfbbq attack) and paused at the same time. Setting the speed to 32 fixed even this completely.

I have to agree that taking the micro sd out of the supercard is difficult without removing it from the DS and thats really gay. Also the R4 cartrige looks nicer but I still prefer supercard for now.

The GUI is really edging my closer to the SCDS but I just can't. The R4 is cheaper and easier to use plus you can change it in to the M3, haha.

Surely, from looking at the pics, it's easier for the micro-sd to be accidentally released from the R4? It may not be an issue in practise, but this is probably the reason for the SCDS design.

I still can't decide, though I'll probably try Bamboogaming because they are half the price of UK suppliers and I am willing to take the risk! Hopefully, they will supply the whole R4 package if I choose that (they dont send boxes!).
