The ultimate flashcart

I know this is a little make believe play here, but if you could have a flashcart that could be made using todays technology, what would its features be?

Here's what's important for me for a slot-2:

-M3 software and compatibility
-RAM for all 32 bit systems and under plus the NDS
-a rumble pack
-a gyro sensor or whatever they're called. The thing that WarioWare Twisted uses.
-a sturdy build and only the size of around a Super Card SD, assuming that you don't have to shove it in and that it has one of the grips like regular GBA games.
-clean ROM support,  but a patcher as good as the EZV optional
-8 GB SD (or miniSD microSD whatever) support!!
-battery consumption of around a regular cart

For this I honestly would pay $150 to $200. :)

For a slot-1 all I'd want it an adapter for an SD card or microSD if not possible that's the same size as an original cart that when in, basically works as a passkey that adds whatever's stored in the SD to the menu of the slot-2. Hopefully only five minutes cut off from battery consumption..

For this I'd pay maximum $80.

I have no idea how well this topic will do here, since most of you guys aren't really "make believe" people, but I'm, interested in your thoughts. Maybe we could send an email to Romman or M3 asking for these things.

Remember to be realistic. Don't add "Cook dinner" to your features. XD

Loading clean ROMs over Wi-Fi. Probably not possible but that would rule.
I've recently been wishing my SC SD had a USB port. Do only the ones with built in memory have those or do some of the card-based as well?
Touch screen support. Some of the newer carts do this don't they?

Meh. I'm getting so behind on the flood of new carts that I lost track of what's supported and what's not.

the slot 2 would be impossible to make.  You need a rumble AND a gyro AND room for ram and the regular stuff+ a slot for a microsd.  And clean roms are impossible on slot 2's because its not in...... SLOT 1. its as simple as that, without patching you can't trick the ds into thinking your loading from the 1st slot when you have the thing in the 2nd. and a sd slot 1 is impossible, the sd is almost the size of the card already let alone putting in the nopass chip.

Ah... didn't think about that. Then at leat a patcher as good as EZV's. :)

I think that both are possible, actually. Look at how far we've gotten... you can buy a fully working Pentium 4 computer with a CD drive and Windows XP  that's only around a foot by a foot.... we have 2 GB microSD cards. Man, don't tell me that the slot-2 is impossible. :) Look at WarioWare anyways... the gyro chip takes up more room then it should. Plus that has rumble built in...

The slot-1 on the other hand, I KNOW that an DS would't fit in... Look at the pins. At largest, a miniSD.

Hi

an sd card would fit into slot-1, it would just stick out of the top.

gleasonator.  For that computer you have a microatx motherboard.  You don't get the functionality of a regular atx in a micro, you sacrifice for the size.  Like in microsd your max is not 8GB like the SD cards the max is 2GB.  And neither the cpu or the cd drives have gotten smaller its been a sacrifice of functionality vs. space.

Gleasonator

C'mon man. :( It's possible. OK, maybe not today... But that would contradict my rule. Still though. Do you really think that Romman uses the smallest (and most expensive) chips?

NeoFlash's Neo2 loads clean ROMs from Slot-2. It's a Neo so it's pretty crappy, but it does work for most games. Of course you still need a flashed DS or a PassKey to BOOT the Neo2, but the ROMs don't need patching.

BambooGaming sells it for cheap... I should buy one to fool with. Ugliest "Lite" Slot-2 device bar none... but it has an iR port!

Avoid neoflash at ALL COSTS.  Don't advertise that garbage here.  It shouldn't even be allowed to be called a flashcart.  The pins stick out and the thing looks hidious and not many roms work.  Its just a waste of money.

Really OLD roms work. Yep, it sucks. I do believe the only thing the Neo team released of any value is the Mk4-mini, as it has some options no other nopass cards have...
Nintendo DSi
Nintendo Wii - cIOS38 Revision 12 (and more)
Madden PSP Slim v5.00 M33-6

Bamboo has both the SD & TF models of Neo2... page 2 of the flashcart section. Like most of NeoFlash's GBA/DS stuff they are quite crap tho... only good for screwing around with (you have to have a MK4 Mini to save on for gawdsakes!! It won't save at all without one).

BTW, have you bought from Bamboo? A friend got an EZ4 miniSD from them. He said they were a little slow, but the s&h was cheap (3 weeks, $6US). Better than WinSunX for me (2 weeks, $18US).
