I'm trying to get ANY flashme onto this 2 year old DS, I hold XYAB at powerup but it never runs the flashme.nds, it's the only thing on the card. This is using a purple SCSD with a year old superpass, what am I forgetting to make this work?

Miggs

I cannot get this unflashed DS to boot into the sc menu in DS mode instead of GBA mode, ABXY and all that right? Yeah I've tried it a thousand times and it always takes me to the DS boot menu.

You need to find out which firmware is on your DS phat.

quote from ndshb.com

QuoteInstructions:

1. Insert a DS game in NDS slot.
2. Turn up your DS (Hold START for boot menu) and open Pictochat, room A.
3. Now remove the NDS cartridge from the NDS slot (don't worry, you can't do much harm).
4. Both screens should turn in the same color.

this should get you started
If the screens don't turn YELLOW (and you're not using iQue DS), it is a safe bet that it's PassME1 and WiFiME compatible.

The color 'chart':

- FW1: DS will freeze, when you remove the cart.
- FW2: Grayish Blue (thanks, tepples)
- FW3: Dark Green (Note! A silver DS bought in MK:DS bundle is most probably NOT installed with FW4!)
- FW4: Yellow
- FW5: Magenta
- iQue FW: Dark Green
- FlashME: Dark Green

Thanks to everyone who helped me at this mini research.

If you have FW1,2, or 3, you can use PassMe1. If you have FW4 or 5, you need PassMe2.

Is your superpass a superpass 1 or superpass 2? (You may need to program your superpass2)

Ahh, the good ol' days of the passme. Man, I almost forgot what had to be done to get to the point that you can run nds code. Life is so simple with the nopass devices now. If you still have problems running flashme, just pick up a Superkey or Passcard3, pop it in, get to the SC menu and run flashme. Stupidly easy nowadays...

Remember when you had to find the right SRAM and stuff like that?  That was the good old times.

I would suggest a superkey or heck now if you are going to spend 25, maybe look at the SC DS1 for 50. Regardless, let us know how it went.

Yeah man. This was when I started with the SC. I had the CF version then. You know what the sad part is? That card STILL freakin' outperforms the very latest cards!

Only because of the fast speed of CF memory. BUT the SuperCard Lite seems to be just as good, and I noticed on some other threads that people couldn't do things on their CF that the Lite could manage...

There was one in there the entire time but I DID have toruble getting the DS to recognize that there was a ds card in the slot, which was probably the cause of my problem.

Its the same firmware as my DS, version 2 or 3 I believe. I knew for a fact there was no issue with the current firmware and the passme because both are kind of ancient.

I didn't really want to since I had done it all before with my system (the two are the same age) and rather easily at that it's just that for like a half an hour I couldn't get the passme to work and have the sc ds menu come up so I could run the flashme.nds. After I got the sc menu it was a matter of cake but I had to remove and insert the passme and game card a couple times before it would even get there, thanks for the help guys.

i think that is ur problem ur supposted to go directly into a supercard menu
you wont get the nintendo boot screen, you will only see the supercard logo on the botom and what files you have on ur ds on the top screen
