I tried to purchase a black DS Lite back in the beginning of December at a local Target. They had two, so I picked one up. I get to the car to discover that the seal was broken and then re-taped....an obvious return.

Went back in and asked to see the other one. Same deal. Bastards. So, I grabbed a white one that was REALLY new...

Now, on my quest to grab a black one....still trying. I went to a semi-local EB Games and the guy there said that they are not anticipating getting ANY DS Lite's until at least March.

This is probably not news to anybody (it seems to be out of stock everywhere online), but man, who saw that coming? I mean, the DS is not new really. I was so used to seeing them everywhere, and it is just mind boggling to see them out of stock to this extreme.

Actually, I ran into over a dozen PS3 units tonight They had them at that location too. The employee said that the PS3 is not selling the way "they thought" it would.

But, no Wii or DS units as far as the eye could see!

See, i REALLY wanted a black DS Lite, but i ended up settling with a new white DS Lite for $110 shipped...really wanted that black one though.

man, the ds lite is cheap in the us.

here in the uk, it's £94 (~$180) in the shops and online prices don't budge.

lol, I hear ya.  My local wal-mart had 8 of these on the shelf last time I was in, and had 15 in today - the salesperson told me they were getting a lot of retuns of unopened units!  Obviously people gave up on trying to sell them online, hehe.  The guy I saw that bought a PS3 on eBay for $17,000 must be contemplating suicide right about now.

There are few DS Lites in the UK at the moment- I hunted aound and managed to find a place that had just has a delivery (pink to boot!-not for me by the way). I secured it on-line and travelled the 16 miles only to find that they had also had Wii's delivered. There are still no DS's locally a few weeks later (west/south west London). It was also £100. As for Nintendo Dogs, forget about it until March!

I just went to my target today and found that all the DS's and wii's were sold out but there were 6 PS3s on the shelf.  Its good that Nintendo is doing good but I would like to get a retro controller for my wii
