YAY! After a week without PC, I'm back and expect my brand new SCDS to arrive tomorrow morning!
But, before I give the final OK to the shipment (I'm investing â,¬82 in this plus a 1GB microSD card), I've got some questions I didn't fully answered by just reading the forum:

1. Is this %100 compatible with other versions of SC? I've got a miniSD SC and I don't want to lose all the progress I made in several games.

2. How will the saving feature in SCDS affect me? I've been reading that saving is not exactly as it used to be in slot2 SC (getting the save file from the patcher), and I have to create it or, at least, get it somehow for each game I want to play.

3. Super mode: support RESET, cheat code, save to flash memory card directly.
If I don't patch my ROMs... how they'll save? :S

4. Has SCDS been improved with the release of the new firmware patch or is there something that may prevent me from buying this for the time being?

Thanks in advance.

1. If you patch the ROM with the super mode software and just delete the sav u get with it you can use an old nds.sav file from your old game. Just be sure to make sure the file name is the same (ie. Castlevania PoR (U).nds and Castlevania PoR (U).nds.sav)

When you patch the game it comes out with a .nds file and a .sav file. Don't rename your old save file to .sav, leave it as .nds.sav

2. You can patch the rom and get a seperate save file the same way you have done it with every other supercard. If you are lazy you can just drag and drop the RAW .nds file to the card and when you run it the supercard will automatically make a sav file for it. When you run the game later the save file works fine and does not need to be retrieved or anything like that.

3. If you dont patch roms supercard makes a new sav file automatically. It will not be visible in the supercard menu (unless you change file viewage in global.ini)

4. Not 100% sure what you're asking. The SCDS definately has a nicer menu with touch control, built in moonshell, changable options, completely skinnable and much better compatability than other supercards. One new firmware has been released lately but it does not change much.

PS. In case you don't know you must copy the shell folder and MSFORSC.nds to the root of your SD card. This folder contains all the graphic information for the supercard menu as well as settings and moonshell functions. (I kinda don't know exactly what I'm talking about but I think I'm close ^_^" )

EDIT: btw, congrats on your purchase.
