I'm talking about this difference (that's all as far as I know):

Altor

"SukkoPera" How the heck are you getting away with having that colossal avatar??

Kenzya

According to that picture I have an old one.

Now SC Version:1.70
hardware ID:d3ff10041bd310fb

SukkoPera

First of all, sorry for the huge avatar thingie. Unfortunately I had the sick idea of changing my e-mail address and set my avatar at the same time, thinking that the avatar would have been resized to a proper size. It didn't, and I also found myself locked out of the forum, as I never got the re-activation e-mail you're supposed to get when you change e-mail address on the forum.

I tried registering for a new account, but it needed activation by the forum administrator, and it would took hours. So I couldn't either change my avatar or inform you of the situation. Sorry, I promise it won't happen again.

Back to the topic: my SCLite is an old one, according to that image. I've set up a test application (actually Chishm did, I just patched it) which people who are having problems running MCTool on their flashcart should try. It just does some reading/writing to test that libfat is working properly, and should be perfectly safe. Get it here.

Note that it will ONLY work on SC's using SD card or derivatives (including SCLite), as problems were only reported with such a card. Basically, if this tester app works, then MCTool *must* work as well, while if this tester app does not work, something will have to be fixed in the library, but at least we'll know where the problem lies.

Please test and post your results, thanks.

Good to see I'm not the only one (well, you know what I mean). The DLDI stuff doesn't work either. So I guess that's it then :/

SukkoPera

liquidnitrogen and Shinster: Please try the tester app and post your results.

Thanks Kenzya for doing it already. I'll keep you posted.

I tried this nice app with my SCLR,worked nice without any patching.

Problem is, some times later,it fucked up my micro SD,turning all folders into 16KB files. UGH!

Too bad I didn't have any recent backups... :(

Anyway, handy app,and I hope you sort out all problems in the future.
e who laughs last, obviously didn't get the joke.

Well, I'm sorry, but you had been warned in the README (which you read, didn't you?). I'd better add some warnings in the program in one of the next versions.

F*ck-up probabilities are high if there are any errors in the filesystem, therefore my advice is to always run a check and fix before sorting.

I had the same, it turned my folders into 16kb files, but only after running chkdsk from within Windows. Chkdsk reported the issue and fixed it. Luckily I read the warning and backed up everything. Except for some nifty DSOrganize scribbles I made in the meantime :/

Kenzya

Similar DLDI patched software works with the supercard-moon patch. I noticed this while trying to use ImageViewer which gives both a SCSD_MOON_Supercard.nds and a regular SCSD_Supercard.nds. With the SCSD_Supercard being a non-working version on this end. I'm not sure if any of this makes any sense or if there's a difference so I'm sorry if I'm just being a retard here

SukkoPera

You mean that MCTool works with the Moonshell SCSD patch?
