and SNEmul ran very few roms, "flashy screens" and lots of bugs.

THis was the old version. The new version is much better, and emulates sound as well. It just got the DLDI treatment too:

vampires, I can guarantee that picodrive works on the SCDS(one) with a 512 kingston card. I've used it myself. And yes, there is the new version of SNEmul that works much better, runs faster, and has sound. As for picodrive, if you are having problems I'm not sure if there is much that anyone can actually do about it. Anyways, look at the compatibility lists for SNEmul for what games you can play.
ar?

Just wanted to point out that one game I've managed to get working at 100% is Acrobat Mission.  It doesn't have sound for some reason, but it at least plays at full speed with good graphics.  I'll update the PHWiki when I get a chance.

any NES emulators? with the dldi or wahtever deal hah

Hm, the only two NES emulators for the DS that I know of are NES DS and NesterDS, neither of which has upgraded to the DLDI system.  You could try getting NES DS to work with roms imbedded into the .nds file itself, which might work as long as you don't go over 3 MB per compilation.  Also, knowing Supercard, you'd probably need to use the .ds.gba output renamed to .nds.  Let us know if it works.
