The DS Motion Card is a revolutionary motion sensor for the DS and DS Lite handheld gaming systems. It contains a 3-axis accelerometer and a single-axis gyroscope, and plugs into the DS card slot to enable full motion sensing on the DS and the DS lite.

It is the first tri-axis accelerometer that can be used for homebrew DS development, and the first and only accelerometer/gyroscope combination available for handheld gaming.

Good product, so why are you letting Neo sell it?

Koji

I hate to say this but.... gimmick. No one is going to buy something of so limited usefulness, especially since few if any homebrew developers will take advantage of it.

sinkhead

It would probably be used more if it has a built in NoPass

Hi

But that would probably add to the price...

agreed.

take the gizmondo for instance, on first impression it looked impressive. it had gps, camera, bluetooth, gsm and a bunch of other stuff in one device. the problem was, not many apps or games made use of those features. to top it off, most of them turned out to be "half" features, you can text message but can't make calls, you can connect to other giz devices with bluetooth but nothing else, and the gps was only useful if you had the external antenna. the gizmondo division going bust didn't help but it seemed like it was going to fail from quite early on.

I bought one.  It's only 25 dollars.  I mainly just play around with etch a sketch on it.  There is a light saber program that makes realistic noises and sounds, but it is a little lame after awhile.  The etch a sketch is pretty good though.  Hopefully others will make program to use with it.  I wish the gba rom, yoshi's topsy turvey & wario game could make use of it.  Or even if the gba accelerater could.

With the age of slot 1 carts with built in passme, along with a noflashme for the DS Lite released, flashme is dying out.  I am assuming that this will only work with slot 2's along with flashme, not a lot of these people are left.  And how many homebrew developers want to spend time making games for something that is dying out?

mikesinclair

It will work with a passme, you don't need flashme.  Just swap out passme for dsmotion cart.

Ummm does it work that way?  But even then it'll be a pain in the butt.

Hi

Maybe it is... but it shouldn't be.

Remember, it gives you protection from the dsbricker.

Also the scrumble is cheaper than any slot-1. If you're out of warrenty and have a friend who has a way of running homebrew, of course you'll install flashme.
