Nope. it works amazing well with sp1 .. the problem is to make a good png file.. try make it under 15k

on photoshop .. there is a option SAVE FOR WEB .. there you can chose file type PNG 8 and play a little with the settings to get the best balance of size and quality!

adjusted the file with Photoshop to 14.47 k png file. the ratio 256x192.

in the .txt file it says "Wallpaper.png has to be png,
256x192 and usually 4BPP..." what is the '4BPP'?

Also what are the ratios everyone is using, number of colors etc...?

the best way to get them as small as possible with photosshop
is to save for web



then PNG-8 & 64 colours or less



i still find the old skinner program better but you will have to change part1 & part3

you can reduce the Dither..  it make some colors become "Doted"

Yeah, i had followed all of that when i got the error. So what am i missing, it is under 15k? I even get the error at 13.5k size file (not shown in picture below).



does this program need to be in a certain dir, like root C ?
