Which flash cart is the best slot-one solution? M3 Simply, SCDS, or R4DS? I've been hearing a lot of talk of R4DS and I dont know the difference between any of these three. They're all going for the same price at real hot stuff (except SCDS, thats $50 not $45).

Which one of these three (or any other slot-one solutions) is best? Or am I better off getting a Supercard Lite? What's the advantage of getting a slot-one card over supercard lite?

BTW: When choosing, please keep homebrew in mind

I'm deciding between R4 and EZ5.

Overall R4 seems the best right now but I'm hearing about spring defects on it. Since EZ5 uses side loading...there's no chance of loosing the SD card.

Well at the moment all 3 seems to be good.  R4DS is probably the best choice as far as slot 1s go, but EZV looks fairly solid.  I'm not sure about SCDS, it seems fine, but it doesn't seem to be as popular as the other two.

I would personally (if this is your first cart) get a slot 2 cart, probably an M3.  This is because the slot 2s are already widely supported, as well as have better homebrew and GBA support.  Slot 1s simply play NDS perfectly.  The problem with getting Supercard slot 2s is because as far as it is now, they have several highly anticipated games that don't work, and yet there are no patches.  M3 on the other hand is doing quite well.

If you are looking for something really simple, and you don't care about GBA at all, then slot 1s, namely the R4, is your best choice.  However, if you are looking for GBA and great NDS support, check out the slot 2s.

I love my scdsone. I guess I can't think of any extreemly origanal and fantastic feature it has over the other cards, but it does what's wanted, and it does it well. It supports clean roms and has the option to allow clean roms to reset. It automaticly detecs the save type. It has a fantastic interface, good rom capibility, in short all the main features that most people want out of a card. Sure, it doesn't have the kitchen sink, flashing leds, you get the Idea. But as I said (They always say in school to repeat what you said in your topic sentence of a paragraph in the closing sentence of your paragraph, so I'll obey my teachers just this once) what it does, it does well.

p.s. I have nothing against my teachers I think they are good and I'm a good student it was just a joke.:wink:
