long story made short.  im not that experienced with all this stuff so I may have done something stupid.  My friend told me about snezziboyds the new version with chrono trigger working etc.  So today I was testing the QPC saving stuff and it didnt work so I decided to downgrade my firmwire from 1.7 to 1.63.  Now is what happened.  I got a pink multicolored glitched screen on both top and bottom screens.  i tried re formatting the card and adding in the new firmwire upgrade and it still has the glitched up screen (and it IS in FAT format) so I dont now what to do. some one help!!! :(

Yeah, 1.7 broke QPC saving for some people, although I was able to downgrade to 1.63b on my SC miniSD without any issues.  Did you download the 1.63 firmware from the official website?

Worst case, you can send it to bitblt for repair:  http://scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2648

If and when you get it working again, you can still use QPC saving with v1.7 if you use the DumpSRAM program made for this very purpose.  Instead of using the saver tab, you setup a .ini file and run dumpSRAM.nds, which will backup the SRAM to the .sav file of your choice.

so theres no way to fix it but repair? no sofware? nuttin? ><

I'm not really sure.  There is no magic "Supercard fixer" software out there as far as I know.  There was recently an issue with SC Lite users trying to downgrade and getting bricked, and on the Supercard Website there are instructions for how to recover them.  You could try using those, although I'm not sure if it will work.

Problem solved. Needed to run firmware upgrade from GBA mode.
