Ok, I purchased a SCDS because my SCCF died on me. But to my delight, the nonfunctional SCCF works just fine as a RAM pack for running Opera. I had to stick a CF card in there to get it to work but it does wonderfully. The SCCF still give me the "not find CF" error, but its working great as RAM.

So, don't go tossin away your "dead" Supercards too quickly, they may still have life in them

. . . now my SCCF is doing the same thing. Like he said, its like a lottery as to whether the roms show up in the menu or not. Also it freezes up when playing a game sometimes. Is my card dying? I've had it for quite a while and have been looking for a new cart, most likely Slot-1. Maybe it time to retire this baby.

I have a SC miniSD that a member (ihopeyoudie2) gave to me with a similar problem.  This supercard does not display the menu when it is first turned on after being turned off for a while. . .  However, it does work great as a RAM pack for running Opera_patched with my DSLink slot1 card, even without a miniSD inserted.

Hmm, I remember that lol. Oh well, nothing wrong confirming that CF works too
