So, when will FFVI Advance be available as a ROM?

Usually most games are out in ROM format a couple of weeks before the official release of the game. FFVI Advance is scheduled to be released tomorrow (Feb 5th), and there still isn't a ROM on any P2P network. How long do you think it will take for the game to be available for download?

Rips are usually released the same day the game is... relax...

Actually, a lot of the times they're out a few days earlier. I wonder why that is. Leaks perhaps?

Actually, some games are released a week after their release.  I think GBA is dying, not as many people are dumping, so you really have to be patient about this.

I'm sure that they're would be huge anticipation for the re-release of the best Final Fantasy game out to date? i was also hoping for an early dump.

Well, on a moment of boredom I decided to download all the SNES, N64 and GBA games that were worth playing...and after downloading 4 gigs of roms I realized FFVI was going to be released on the GBA. That was like 1 month and a half ago, so that's why I'm getting impatient :P

I've been waiting for FF6 Advanced ever since i got my flashcart ;)

Yes and no... Stores receive copies of games before they are out on shelves. They are told they aren't allowed to sell them until the release date, but a lot of retailers don't care about those rules and put out their new games as soon as they receive them. This allows people to buy the game before the official release date and dump it.

It also could be someone who deals with the shipping (or receiving) of orders as well as they'd have easy access to the finished games before release.

its been dumped 2689 - Final Fantasy VI Advance (U)(Xenophobia)
& you only had to wait a day!!!

Hmm, for me anyway, it doesn't seem to be available though my usual channels of supply. Maybe time to look harder.

pretty damn laggy on the supercard even with the fast restart patch -.- no more QPC saving.. NUUU!!! arg

PhantomLord

Yeah, its pretty laggy on my Supercard. The saver patch fails, so you are required to save manually. I disabled restart and used the prefetch patch, but its still too slow. The music during the intro scenes finishes before the animations are over and the battles are almost painfully slow. Its really a shame since I know I waited a long time for this along with other people.

I know your disapointed it doesn't work on the supercard, but remember u can still BUY it and have FF6 on your GBA :P

i read that if you ditched real time saves it'd fix the speed problems on supercard lites, thats just hear say though.

Just to let you rom yuppies know, it's not a supercard problem. At least not exclusively. I bought the real cart (FF6 being my second favorite SNES game of all time next to chrono trigger) and it too suffers from slow downs. That means that square made a fairly shoddy port which makes me a little sad. It's playable, but dashing causes frame skips if you have sprint shoes and too many sprites/effects at a time causes a lot of slowdowns. While this occationally happened on the SNES original it was never this bad. If you absolutely MUST have a portable FF6, it beats the current SNES emus on DS... but if you simply want to replay the classic, I suggest you dig out SNES9X or ZSNES and play the original SNES rom. Me? I still have my original SNES and FF3US so I can play it on that ^_^.
