With some changes this could work on the SCCF, but I've not investigated the firmware for it yet to find out if anything needs to be moved for the patches.
How hard to you would be to try it?
Please give it a try, CF users would be grateful.

BTW, QPC does work in 1.7 when you hold START to boot in GBA mode.

Any progress regarding CF cards ???!!!

GrizzlyAdams

I don't have a SCCF and I've not had a chance to really look at its firmware. I'll try to look at it tonight

MasterMan

If you feel like, tell me how to dump the firmware and i'll send it to you... ops i think it would be warez, so tell me how can i help you.

PM me and we'll exchange MSNs.

What warez?? its just about the SC firmware... how could it be warez?

GrizzlyAdams

I've looked at the firmware and it shouldn't be hard to make a version of the patches for it.
It just requires replacing the card driver in the bootstub. All the empty gaps in the firmware match.
Just finding some stuff in the cf_170 update now.

GrizzlyAdams

Ok, so here is the latest file:
SCPatcher-003-BETA.zip

Please note this is *VERY* beta and I've only tested the Patched 1.70 for Supercard SD. I've not checked the SCSD 1.70 or 1.60 clean images in flashscsd.nds but they should be fine.
I don't have a SCCF so I have no way of checking the flashsccf.nds build.

Please Please Please don't flash this if you have no way of recovering from a bad flash. I don't want to ruin anyone's investment.

MasterMan

I think i'll wait a little longer. Don't have a recovering way :(

I didn't try it cause it doesn't feel so secure. Could we load a SCOS like??

MasterMan

OK, got it working by appending the ndsloader.bin (copy /b ndsloader.bin+flashsccf.nds load_flashsccf.nds)
Now i have fw 1.7a and get GBA mode by holding R button.
Tryed rename DSOrganize executable as _BOOT_SC.NDS, but it doesn't autoboot. Moonshell 1.71 stable works, without sound in movies. It has sound when launched from menu.
It should be like this?

Theres probably a bug in chishm's boot loader. Several people have had this problem, and I've had problems with loading .nds files that don't have a wmb logo (not the 32x32 icon, but the 104x16 logo).  With my menu program it won't autoboot unless I build the nds with a logo embedded.
Soon as I see chishm on irc i'll talk it over with him.

Ok, for those of you having problems with .nds files loading, here is an alternative to try, I have no idea how well this will work, and haven't had much time to test it. Basically put a _boot_sc.ds.gba (or _boot_sc.sc.nds) file on your card that is the program you want to run on boot. (The default nds moonshell's installer will work since its really a dsgba) Then put this as your _boot_sc.nds file.  It loads the ds.gba to supercard ram and runs it as if your card was a gba cart booted via passme. Note, this might not fix anything, I don't know.
