trying to fix my SC

Well, I was attempting to skin my DS, being sure to follow the instructions exactly. I flashed my SC SD, got the ok to reboot message, and now I get white screens. My brother has a SC SD as well, but when I try to fix mine by putting his in, running flashmp, and taking his out, when I put my SC in, my DS reboots itself.

Mine reboots whenever I re-insert the cartridge as well, so it seems like those directions would be rather useless.  My guess is that it MIGHT have to do with FlashMe, but I haven't unflashed mine to test, and I'll have to wait until Monday to find an unflashed DS to test with.  All I know is that it still resets when FlashMe is patched to ignore the PASS header.

I've also heard that inserting one side of the Supercard first will make it not reset.  I'm curious how this works, as a GBA cartridge appears to allow for little lopsidedness.  I've tried this myself with no success.

EDIT:  actually wait, I got it to work when pushing the right side in first and going VERY slowly.  It might be a one time deal though.

EDIT 2:  alright, got it to work two more times.  It definitely appears to be the right side that needs to be pushed first, and whether or not it reboots is somewhat hit-or-miss.

You can use the WiFiMe/WMB method to run FlashMP using "download play".

You can send your Supercard to me and I will recover the firmware for you for free other than shipping.

My DSL is now unflashed (via nofmlite), but it still reboots if I take my SCL out and then put it back in, so it doesn't seem to be FlashMe's fault.

Thank you for the information.  Then it's probably just the way the Supercard interacts with the DS upon insertion.

Thanks for the replies :). I'll try inserting the right side first now.

edit: that sounded crazy, but it worked :D, thank you VERY much.

edit 2: my brother's DS restarted on inserting the SC too.

CRAP. Now none of my games are working at all.

Do any homebrew programs run?  It might just be an issue of the games having been patched with the wrong version of the patcher, like trying to play games on SC firmware 1.63b when the games were converted with the software that came with 1.7.

I did something; I forgot what it was, and now my games do work. However, all of my save games were erased... I don't want to play another 30 hours just to get to Nebula Area...

I tried deleting the .dsqs and saves on my SD card, and replacing them with my backup...that didn't work either.

edit: can't save either, but I'll update my firmware.

I updated to 1.70, and apparently I'm back to square 1, which is fine by me... e.e; I'm just glad it all works
